Guitar Stories - When I met ERIC BURDEN of the Animals
I didn't realize until later how funny and ironic my meeting with Eric Burden was. Of course I was very excited that he was performing at our club one night, and as I locked up my studio I noticed Eric wandering around our parking lot looking around as one would do when getting your bearings at someplace new. I asked him how he was doing and he asked, "is there somewhere I can go to hang out that is is within walking distance? How do I get out of here?" lol if I had been on the ball, I could've jumped into obnoxious fan mode and started singing, "So, you gotta get outta this place?"
I was meeting and working with the legendary pros that I idolized on a regular basis, but to me it seemed that Eric was one of those few that were on a "whole 'nother level" and honestly I felt like a little groupie and could barely get a word out. LOL
Some musicians are not only unique, but they were unique at exactly the right time and were able to parlay the opportunities of that time into becoming a legend in music history. This happened for Eric Burden at a time when one of the most significant two things happens in music… the electric guitar and the blues

As human beings we do copy each other's mistakes. Most personal guitar performance videos on the net are in the category of "close but no cigar" because the artist is not produced. Most of the guitar teachers who use online videos have really bad timing and awkward phrasing. Most online teaching promotes learning very complex mental infrastructures like tab and the use way too much memorizing. What is really fascinating is how enthusiastic and exuberant these "student guitar teachers" are as they regularly miss comprehensions! This is scientifically provable, and not speculation.....
